    "message": "Build the HO atlases with post-creation geometry steps (#17)\n\n* refactor: build the HO atlases with post-creation geometry steps\n\nBoth scripts now do their shaping after the pipeline returns, using\natlas_dilate(), atlas_simplify() and atlas_smooth() - so retuning any of\nit costs seconds instead of another pass through snapshots and contours.\n\nmake_ho.R was still asking the pipeline for dilate = 2L and then calling\natlas_smooth() three times. Because atlas_smooth() simplified to\nkeep = 0.05 unless told otherwise, those passes left the ho_sub\nsilhouette on a fraction of its vertices and smoothed it at full\nstrength: a grey blob. It now gets the same treatment ho2_sub does and\ncomes back gyrified.\n\nStructures are dilated, the silhouette is not - growing a silhouette\ncloses its sulci. Only the silhouette is simplified; the deep structures\nhave no vertices to spare. Simplify runs before smooth, so the smoothing\nhas the last word on the outline.\n\nCo-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>\n\n* test: accept snapshots for the rebuilt HO geometry\n\nho_cort and ho2_sub both changed shape: the silhouettes carry their\nvertices now instead of being simplified away, and the cortical regions\nare smoothed at 0.4 rather than 1.\n\nCo-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>\n\n* perf: halve the atlases by simplifying structures too\n\nOnly the silhouette was being simplified, so the structures carried\nroughly six times the vertices per region that the bundled aseg does -\n4,221 against 737 for ho_sub. A heavy atlas is slow to draw, which is\nthe point of caring.\n\nBoth now simplify at two rates: the silhouette can afford more, since\nits detail is large-scale gyral shape, while the structures are small\nand lose recognisable form sooner. Do not push keep below ~0.25 -\nrmapshaper stops being able to drop vertices without breaking topology\nand the smoothing pass then adds back more than the simplification\nsaved.\n\nCombined with the silhouette fix in ggs",
